Prophecy was born and raised in SW Detroit (Ecorse), At a young age he was influenced by the hip hop culture. As Yo! Mtv Raps emerged he was already making tapes in elementary school. He performed for the first time in the 3rd grade. As time progressed his word play and creativity grew stronger. But as his athletic ability overshadowed his music, he put rap on the back burner to pursue a basketball career, but always kept hip hop in his heart. He still continued to write while chasing his hoop dream. In 2001 his rap career was reborn. He hooked up with Sifu Records. Where he recorded "It's My Time" featuring L-train. Once again basketball took presidence, after recieving a scholarship to play ball for Hampton University. Prophecy moved to VA. In the studio in his dorm room he started Paper Chasin Records. While in college he co-hosted a radio show on WHOV 88.1, where he used to slip his songs in the rotation. After college he pursued a professional career in basketball, after that didn't work out he landed back in Detroit. Still wanting to do music, Prophecy started back recording. With funds getting low he searched for employment, but with two degrees the employers, turned him down saying he was over qualified. Thats when he got the mentality, "hustle by any means"(read between the lines). Now being educated by school and the streets, just added more validity and substance to his rap game. He change the name of the company from Paper Chasin Records to Paper Trail Ent. due to copywright issues. He has been on various mixtapes, and has done intro's for multiple radio stations. He is the self-proclaimed "voice of the streets". He is in the process of finishing his debut album "Autobiography Of A Hustler". Prophecy brings a breath of fresh air to the game.
